Help Luca give back
I don’t normally solicit donations but I am very passionate about this cause………so I am writing to you from the bottom of my heart asking you to donate.
As many of you are aware, our son Luca spent a lot of time in the hospital during his first year.....75 days and 3 surgeries to be exact! We are so happy and blessed that he had access to the quality of care and expertise in medicine offered at The Childrens Hospital in Winnipeg. Many people do not have this available, or go into debt trying to get the necessary care.
As I write this, I am sitting in a hospital room watching my little man recover from what is hopefully the last surgery. I am surrounded by state of the art equipment and helpful, competent nurses and doctors, which has made the journey a little less frightful.
Luca turns 1 year-old on January 19, 2016 and to honor him, we have decided to raise money for the Childrens Hospital. We are graciously asking our friends and family to make a small donation and to help Luca give back to the hospital that helped him so much!

It is so easy to ignore these requests, but I promise you this is a need worth supporting. Having a child in the hospital is one of the most traumatic things that can happen to a family......and there are a lot of families that rely on the care provided at The Childrens Hospital. We were the lucky ones getting our little man home and recoverd after his first year, knowing he will lead a normal and happy life.....other families are not so lucky.
