As the father of three young boys who have been fortunate enough to only need Children’s Hospital for stitches and broken bones, I am humbled to be participating in this amazing event. Suspended Superheroes will raise much needed funds to support CHFM in areas like the Child Life program which runs a library and TV station for kids in the hospital, a new Indigenous Healing Space, and an innovative Day Surgery Unit. This campaign will transform child health in Manitoba, and I am hoping you will join me in supporting it.

In collaboration with Children’s Hospital Foundation, Voyageur Technical is thrilled to announce the upcoming 2nd Annual Suspended Superheroes event, scheduled for October 25th, 2023. Building on the success of last year's event, to which the RCMP Emergency Response Team and Winnipeg Police Service Tactical Support Team provided on-rope ‘superheroes’, we are excited to once again create an opportunity to bring cherished memories to children and their families spending their Halloween in the hospital.

This event goes beyond its festive nature; it fosters a strong sense of community and belonging among children and families. The timing aligns seamlessly with the holiday spirit, providing children with an unforgettable experience during a challenging time.

The proceeds collected from this event will contribute to the Better Futures campaign, an unprecedented donor-driven initiative in Manitoba dedicated to advancing child health. Better Futures concentrates on three pivotal areas in pediatric healthcare: vital infrastructure and facilities, pioneering research on childhood illnesses, and inventive programs designed to bring solace to families within the hospital environment. One such program is the Child Life programming, which is supported by Suspended Superheroes.
