As an employee of the Children's Hospital Foundation, I see the critical and important need to support the Children’s Hospital on a daily basis. The Child Life Department plays a pivotal role in ensuring that kids at the hospital have the best possible experience during their stay. The departments’ dedication and commitment to creating a positive and nurturing environment for these young patients are truly awe-inspiring
I look forward to raising funds in support of the Child Life Program and bringing some fun and excitement to the patients through the Suspended Superheroes initiative. I hope to make a difference in the lives of these young patients and their families, and I am excited about the opportunity to take part!

IIn collaboration with The Children’s Hospital Foundation, Voyageur Technical is thrilled to announce the upcoming 2nd Annual Suspended Superheroes event, scheduled for October 25th, 2023. Building on the success of last year's event, to which the RCMP Emergency Response Team and Winnipeg Police Service Tactical Support Team provided on-rope ‘superheroes’, we are excited to once again create an opportunity to bring cherished memories to children and their families spending their Halloween in the hospital.
This event goes beyond its festive nature; it fosters a strong sense of community and belonging among children and families. The timing aligns seamlessly with the holiday spirit, providing children with an unforgettable experience during a challenging time.
The proceeds collected from this event will contribute to the Better Futures campaign, an unprecedented donor-driven initiative in Manitoba dedicated to advancing child health. Better Futures concentrates on three pivotal areas in pediatric healthcare: vital infrastructure and facilities, pioneering research on childhood illnesses, and inventive programs designed to bring solace to families within the hospital environment. One such program is the Child Life programming, which is championed by Suspended Superheroes.
