Little Eveline has spent her life so far on a journey many of us cannot imagine, and now she needs your help.

Before birth, doctors gave Eveline's parents, Candice and Marquis just a very low chance Eveline would survive after discovering she had stage 5 Multi-cystic Dysplastic Kidney Disease, which caused no amniotic fluid, and minimal lung development. Holding out hope, Eveline's parents waiting with no idea what the future would hold. Eveline came into the world in March 2019, after lots of intervention, was able to breathe, but did not have functioning kidneys.

Eveline spent her first 5 months of life in the hospital. After numerous surgeries, infections and dialysis treatments, she was finally able to go home. But the daily challenges continue. Eveline and her family now have regular hospital visits.  At home, she takes a lot of medicine, eats special formula through a feeding tube, and receives multiple therapies and other 24/7 care.

Eveline is now a happy 2.5 year-old who can walk and run, talk and laugh, and play outside. She also likes to dance any chance she can, and loves to be the centre of attention, and tease her siblings.

But the time is near when this sweet and beautiful girl must have a kidney transplant. Other things stood in her way - she had to gain weight, grow, and have a bladder evaluation. So far, Eveline has defied the odds stacked against her.  She made it through testing and evaluation, and her daddy was a match, everything was finally set after 2 years of work up, scheduled for Jan 13. However the world had other plans and due to COVID her transplant was canceled. As we wait for her time, we are joining in the Cycle4Eveline fundraiser, to provide support to the Children's Hospital Nephrology Department and for Eveline, for assistance with a lifetime of transplant-related expenses.
