When I was asked to be a Suspended Superhero to help raise money for the Children's Hospital, my immediate answer was yes. I am a mom to three little girls, and I can't imagine how difficult it would be if one of them got sick. I want all kids to have access to life-saving treatments and the hope of a healthy future. By supporting me you are helping kids get the best treatment possible and supporting their families through such a difficult time. In collaboration with Children’s Hospital Foundation, Voyageur Technical is thrilled to announce the upcoming 3rd Annual Suspended Superheroes event, scheduled for October 4th, 2024.
Building on the success of last year's event, to which the RCMP Emergency Response Team and Winnipeg Police Service Tactical Support Team provided on-rope ‘superheroes’, we are excited to once again create an opportunity to bring cherished memories to children and their families spending their Halloween in the hospital.
This event goes beyond its festive nature; it fosters a strong sense of community and belonging among children and families. The timing aligns seamlessly with the holiday spirit, providing children with an unforgettable experience during a challenging time.
Proceeds from this event will go towards Child Life programming (like Music Therapy, therapeutic play and the library program) to provide comfort to families in hospital.
