✨ Celebrating 5 Years of Kindness ✨
What began as two little girls in red coats spreading holiday cheer to friends, family and complete strangers has become something far bigger than we ever imagined.
Over the past five years, the Candy Cane Sisters have helped raise a total of $10,017.15 funds by spreading kindness with their Candy Cane Wishes.
Because of the incredible support from family, friends, kind strangers, local organizations, and our community, together we have raised:
❤ 2022: $1,556
❤ 2023: $1,860
❤ 2024: $3,254.15
❤ 2025: $3,347.00
and this year we hope to reach $3,500 as our new goal!
As Chloe and Molly grow, so too does our hope to continue nurturing their philanthropic hearts and connection to the Children’s Hospital community.
While you may still spot the girls handing out a few Candy Cane Wishes this holiday season (after all, at heart they will always be the Candy Cane Sisters), we are also excited to explore new ways to keep their giving spirit alive all year long.
Maybe that looks like a lemonade stand, a bake sale, handmade creations, acts of kindness, or some creative initiative we dream up together. One thing is certain, our family remains deeply passionate about helping children and families who may be walking difficult roads.
This tradition has always been about something much bigger than fundraising. It has been about raising kind girls who understand gratitude, compassion, and the importance of helping others.
Thank you for cheering on our girls, supporting this journey, and helping us continue to spread a little extra kindness in the world.
With love,
The Candy Cane Sisters

The Heart Behind the Candy Cane Sisters ❤
If you've received one of our Candy Cane Wishes, you may wonder how the Candy Cane Sisters began and this is the first time I am sharing.
Truthfully, it started from a moment that quietly changed me as a mom forever.
Many years ago, while my own sick little girl, Chloe, lay asleep on me in a rocking chair late one night, I found myself following the heartbreaking journey of another young child through Instagram.
A family I had been following had received devastating news: their sweet three-year-old daughter Stevie had been diagnosed with a rare, inoperable brain tumour known as DIPG.
Like so many others, I watched from afar as they navigated unimaginable heartbreak. I watched as they cherished every moment, held tightly to hope, and only a few short months later, began saying goodbye to their beautiful little girl.
As a mother holding my own child, it deeply shook me.
I remember looking at my girls and feeling overwhelmingly grateful for their health, while simultaneously carrying such deep sadness for another family whose world had changed in an instant.
It hit me just how fragile life can be and how quickly everything can change.
That experience planted a seed in my heart.
I knew I wanted my girls to grow up understanding how incredibly lucky we are to have our health, our family, our friends, and the simple everyday moments we so often take for granted. I wanted them to understand that kindness matters and that even little people can make a big difference.
Just before Christmas, when Chloe and Molly were only 2 and 3 years old, the idea quietly came to life.
People were always stopping to comment on how sweet the girls looked bundled up in their little red Christmas coats, and somewhere in the middle of the holiday magic, a simple thought crossed my mind:
What if we could turn a small moment of joy into something meaningful?
So we packed little holiday treats, handwritten wishes, and candy canes, and the girls began handing out Candy Cane Wishes to strangers, family, and friends. Our hope was simple: spread a little holiday cheer, encourage kindness, and raise money to support sick children and families spending the holidays at the Children’s Hospital.
Year after year, our community showed up in ways we never imagined.
We surpassed fundraising goals, met kind strangers, became apart of the Children's Hospital Community and watched this tiny little idea grow into something far bigger than ourselves.
And as happens with time, things evolved.
The girls grew older and a little shyer. We offered them a break from “Candy Cane Sisters” efforts, never wanting it to feel like pressure or obligation.
But to our surprise, they reminded us that it had become a tradition.
They told us they still wanted to help the "sick kids" each Christmas.
And so, here we are.
While fundraising may look a little different these days, and many donations now come from family, friends, and longtime supporters, this has never only been about the money.
It has always been about the heart behind it.
We are so incredibly proud of the kind, compassionate little humans Chloe and Molly are becoming.
As long as they continue showing interest in thinking beyond themselves and helping others, we will continue supporting them in this close-to-our-heart endeavour.
At heart, they will always be our little girls in red coats, spreading kindness one Candy Cane Wish at a time. ❤
