For the Love of Paige

Winter's Auto Service is raising money in support of the Children's Hospital Foundation of Manitoba, specifically the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).

Paige's Story

At just two years old, Paige unexpectedly went into repiratory distress and needed to be rushed to the Children's Hospital.  The talented and expert emergency staff revived our little girl twice before putting her onto a ventilator and admitting her to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).

In the weeks that followed, Paige was well cared for by the compassionate staff of the Children's Hospital PICU. Eight weeks after she was admitted, Paige succumbed to her fatal diagnosis of Leigh's syndrome, a rare genetic mitochondrial disease.

With your generosity, through this fundraiser, we are hoping to share our gratitude to the PICU staff, and our appreciation for this unit of the Children's Hospital.  It is our intention to help raise funds so that other children and their families receive the same care and compassion that we received when we needed it most.

From the Kornelsen family, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
